IF the council is going to build 50 homes in my back garden I want to know about it now please.
Councillor Stephen Ellis wants to resign from the group in charge of housing in Leek — why doesn’t he tell people why? He obviously wants people to know about his decision by posting on his blog and Twitter so why keep quiet about the reason? If something controversial is going on behind the scenes surely we havea right to know.
I’m sure that all sorts of things go on behind closed doors but when it is something this important and a top councillor resigns all it does is spread rumours and often unnecessary panic.
Sometimes I wonder if anyone is standing up for people’s interests in Leek or if it is all about pointscoring between the political parties.
